I give this toilet seat 4.5 stars only because the two we purchased both had stains embedded in the plastic pads that the seat & lid rest on. It makes it look like you missed a spot when cleaning which isn't great especially for a guest bathroom! OTHERWISE, it is exactly the "heft" we wanted to replace the solid wood seats we had that couldn't be cleaned without stripping the finish. These seats are worth the extra money over the standard plastic seats & sooo easy to clean. The manufacturer just needs to fix whatever is leaving the clay colored stains on the feet/pads of the seat & lid that flaws the shiny white finish.
