I found the quality of my toilet seat to be above average and the ease of installation was great. I am a bit disappointed that the screws holding the seat in place appear to loosen easily and the seat tends to slide from side to side. I am going to re-install the seat to see if I can get the screws to tighten better and work better over all.Have have a problem with rings scratching the surface of toilet seats and then showing through the top paint or enamel coating. We purchased this one to avoid that. Seat works well but I have have to readjust the side screws twice because the seat top was lose. The base is very tight to toilet, no problem there.Needed a spacer to install in holes on toilet. Screws were narrow and wiggled inside. I used a plastic spacer from my tv mount to tighten it up. So far so good...Soft close is a nice feature.Attractive but not practical for heavyweights. The easy remove feature made the seat slide when sitting on it. Good for lightweights but not advisable if you are heavy.Nice seat! I was worried when i realized it was wood about how well it would clean. It has a finish on it that wipes off easily. This worked well for us. We have a farmhouse motif and wanted the seat to match our woodwork which it did perfectly. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. easy to install too. Came with the bolts that were needed.When I am cleaning or my fiancé uses the toilet he has to hold it otherwise the seat will fall down. This also makes it difficult when cleaning. I have to attempt to hold with one hand while I clean the toilet. Looks beautiful but not fully functional.Beautiful seat. I sort of vacillated between several seats before selecting this one.The seat feels a bit higher and sturdier than most. The bumpers underneath elevate it nicely.The hardware keeps the unit from shifting.The hardware is a bit different, but yet easy to install. The one issue I have is that the soft close didn't come with zinc alloy/rust resistant hardware in the elongated version. You either chose EITHER the soft close OR the zinc alloy....not both, which is kinda odd.The finish looks phenomenal so hopefully it'll continue so in the months/years to come.Update 8/7/21A couple of additional features I feel bear mentioning now that I've owned it for almost two weeks. The circular hardware is definitely advantageous. I didn't quite "get it" intially, but it definitely makes cleaning a breeze. Given a full 2" clearance between the hardware and the bowl you run less risk of getting cleaning chemicals on it - which inevitably lead to rust. Most toilet hardware extends out vertically. Also, this unit comes with plastic hinge bolt screws - but these actually have metal screws inside rather than the typical all plastic variety. That speaks to durability.Finally, the screws are easily hand-tightened to immobilize the seat correctly without having to grab a pair of vice grips or channel locks for that LAST twist or two. That makes removal MUCH easier if/when the time comes.This is a terrific seat.The color matched perfectly.
